University hadn't done well against DeLand recently (they were 0-7-2 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Titans who were credited with the victory. The University Titans got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the DeLand Bulldogs' four. University's winning goal came courtesy of Liam LaCorte.

University's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those six contests. As for DeLand, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6-2.

Coming up, University will head out to challenge Spruce Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for DeLand, they will be playing at home against Seabreeze at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
