Basketball Recap: Osawatomie Takes a Loss

Osawatomie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were dealt a 56-16 defeat at the hands of the Burlington Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 83-8 back in January.

Burlington found their leader in sophomore Mac Medlock, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine boards. Grace Birk was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Osawatomie's loss dropped their record down to 0-17-3. As for Burlington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osawatomie will host Prairie View on Tuesday. Prairie View's defense has only allowed 26.5 points per game this season, so Osawatomie's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Burlington, they will face off against Council Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
