Basketball Recap: Bellevue Comes Up Short

Bellevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 70-62 to the Marquette Defenders. The Comets were not able to make up for their loss to the Defenders from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Bellevue now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Marquette, the win keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellevue will head out to square off against Beckman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marquette, they will head out on the road to challenge Easton Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marquette knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 contests -- so hopefully Easton Valley likes a good challenge.
