Basketball Recap: Lutheran Drops Season-High Score on Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy

Lutheran scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 69-62 to the Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy Sentinels. The loss leaves the Warriors without a win on the season.

Defeat or not, Lutheran got some senior leadership from Simon Hoeft and Jayden Means. Hoeft dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 boards, while Means went 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoeft has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Perez, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Lutheran was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season.
