South Amboy proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the South River Rams 12-11. This was a revenge game for the Governors: when they faced off against the Rams on April 9th, they had to take a 12-8 loss.

Anaiah Wilson was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Emma Kalantsis was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

South Amboy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive games.

South Amboy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
