Basketball Game Preview: Hartshorne Miners vs. Tushka Tigers

The Hartshorne Miners will face off against the Tushka Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Tushka will be up against a hot Hartshorne squad: the team just extended their winning streak to ten. Hartshorne breezed past Coalgate to the tune of 61-19 on Saturday. Given the Miners' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Wildcats are ranked 306th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tushka humbled Colbert with a 60-25 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Leopards: they've now won six in a row.

Hartshorne pushed their record up to 21-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points over those games. As for Tushka, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.

Everything came up roses for Hartshorne against Tushka when the teams last played back in December of 2019, as the team secured a 56-18 victory. Does Hartshorne have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tushka turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
