Volleyball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison lost against Floyd Central last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cubs came up short against the Highlanders, falling 3-0. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Madison was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Floyd Central's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-21.

Madison's offense was headlined by Kyle Roney and Branson Cline, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Aiden Smith and his 18 assists.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Floyd Central, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Madison will face off against Jeffersonville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cubs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Floyd Central, they will take on Scottsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
