Basketball Recap: The Christian School at Castle Hills Comes Up Short

On Friday, The Christian School at Castle Hills Eagles came up short against the Incarnate Word Academy Angels and fell 48-35. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Incarnate Word Academy was led to victory by Sarah Cory and Abbey Sachanowicz. Cory almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Sachanowicz posted nine points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The dominant performance gave Cory a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabelle Doucet, who earned three points and six rebounds.

The Christian School at Castle Hills' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Incarnate Word Academy, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-15.

The Christian School at Castle Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 78-21 defeat against Geneva on the 14th. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-23 win against John Paul II on the 14th.
