Recap: Taos Tigers vs. Moriarty Pintos

The Taos Tigers won the last time they faced the Moriarty Pintos, and things went their way on Thursday too. Taos managed a 59-53 win over Moriarty.

Taos' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lionel Salazar, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Washington, who scored 11 points along with four steals.

Moriarty's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Brown, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jahkeem Graham, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Taos' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Moriarty, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Taos will head out on the road to face off against Los Alamos at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Mexico (Los Alamos is ranked 76th, while Taos is ranked 65th). As for Moriarty, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Pojoaque Valley at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Moriarty focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday.
