            Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne South Side Archers vs. Fort Wayne Snider Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Fort Wayne South Side extended their losing streak  to five  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 6-13 in the process. They lost  14-1 to the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  9-0  on Thursday.
As for Fort Wayne Snider, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
For Fort Wayne Snider's part,  Landen Fry was a  major factor no matter where he played. He  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Fry has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run was  his first of the season.
 In other pitching news,  Zack Schaller looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts (five).
 Back at the plate,  Brandon Logan was a standout: he got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with five  stolen bases and three  runs. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Isaiah Snavely, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Looking ahead, Fort Wayne South Side will challenge Purdue Polytechnic at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they will square off against Defiance at 12:15  p.m.  on Saturday.
