Basketball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion lost against Hale County back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Marion Rams were beaten by the Hale County Wildcats 76-39. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Wildcats are ranked 78th).

Marion dropped their record down to 6-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Hale County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion and Linden will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hale County will take on Monsignor McClancy in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
