Volleyball Recap: Tri-City Comes Up Short

Tri-City lost against Athens back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tornadoes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Tri-City's offense was headlined by Tiffany Farley and Maddi Plopper, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Gentrie Earles and her 11 assists.

Leading Athens to victory were Chloe Barrett and Talya Baker. Barrett had ten digs and three assists, while Baker had nine digs and one assist.

Tri-City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Athens, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Tri-City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Auburn on the 27th. As for Athens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against New Berlin on the 27th.
