Barnstable is 8-2 against Sandwich since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Red Hawks will face off against the Blue Knights at 4:00 p.m. Sandwich took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Barnstable, who comes in off a win.

Barnstable will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Friday, then bounced right back against Nauset Regional on Monday. The Red Hawks put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 5-1 win. Barnstable haven't had any issues with Nauset Regional recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Sandwich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nantucket. While losing is never fun, Sandwich can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Nantucket are ranked 116th).

Barnstable's win bumped their record up to 9-5-3. As for Sandwich, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13-3.

Everything went Barnstable's way against Sandwich when the teams last played on October 6th, as Barnstable made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Hawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
