Calvary Day School hasn't had much luck against Wesleyan Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. Calvary Day School will square off against Wesleyan Christian Academy at 5:30  p.m. Calvary Day School is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4  runs per game  this season.
Last Tuesday, Calvary Day School came up short against Surry Central  and fell  7-3. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Calvary Day School saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Austin Setliff, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.  Brycen Gerlach also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Meanwhile, while Wesleyan Christian Academy put up some  runs on Monday, the same  can't be said for Westchester Country Day. Wesleyan Christian Academy didn't even let Westchester Country Day on the board, marking Wesleyan Christian Academy's second-straight  10-0 shutout. The  win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.
 Sam Cozart tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because Wesleyan Christian Academy is 2-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 2-5 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Nick Papciak, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. What's more,  he posted three  RBI, the most he's  had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Thompson Holloway, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base.
 Wesleyan Christian Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westchester Country Day only posted a  batting average of  .118.
 Wesleyan Christian Academy picked up their first road  victory, bumping their record up to 4-6. As for Calvary Day School, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
 Calvary Day School might still be hurting after the  14-3 defeat they got from Wesleyan Christian Academy  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. Can Calvary Day School avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
