Whitney had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-2 to make it seven. They fell just short of the Rogers Eagles by a score of 17-15. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Kenna Claridy made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of her six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Laura Coleman, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
