Basketball Recap: Gabriel Richard Comes Up Short

Gabriel Richard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the University Liggett Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Irish of the 49-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Gabriel Richard's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for University Liggett, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gabriel Richard will take on Greenhills in a tournament on Monday. As for University Liggett, they will take on Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
