West proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Riesel Indians 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.

West's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Easton Rinewalt, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

West's record now sits at 11-5-1. As for Riesel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will take on Whitney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riesel, they will challenge Abbott at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
