Great Mills extends road winning streak to five

The Great Mills Hornets won the last time they faced the North Point Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. Great Mills strolled past North Point with points to spare, taking the game 60-45.

Great Mills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taizir Keyes led the charge by scoring seven points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Vontez Culpepper, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why North Point lost, one person who can't be blamed is Collin Farmer. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deante Travers, who scored four points.

Great Mills pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for North Point, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvert at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Calvert is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
