With a playoff win on the line, Anderson County rose to the challenge on Thursday. They snuck past the Clinton Dragons with a 45-40 win. This was a revenge game for the Mavericks: when they faced off against the Dragons two weeks ago, they had to take a 47-30 defeat.

The victory made it two in a row for Anderson County and bumps their season record up to 11-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Clinton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-15.

Anderson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clinton, they will challenge Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
