Basketball Recap: Jordan James and Ryder Donovan Secure Win for Wheatland

Wheatland's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lindhurst Blazers by a score of 49-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Leading Wheatland to victory were Ryder Donovan and Jordan James. Donovan posted 12 points and three steals, while James had ten points along with six boards and three steals. That's the most points James has posted since back in December of 2023. Brayden Zozaya was another key player, putting up five points along with six rebounds and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Lindhurst lost, don't look at Keith Scroggins. Despite the final result, he put up 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Kertianis, who posted six points.

Wheatland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lindhurst, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Wheatland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-45 win against Pierce on the 10th. As for Lindhurst, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-40 loss against Live Oak on the 12th.
