Marcus Miller of Fayette Academy ran for the longest rushing play in Division II A - West District 2 this season against University School of Jackson last week. Miller ran for 78 yards on the play and finished with 133 on the day as his team fell to the Bruins.

Jackson Christian was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Eagles vanquished Rossville Christian Academy 41-26 earlier in the week.

University School of Jackson's dynamic duo of Ryan Garner and Austin Orr proved tough for Fayette Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Garner threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns and Orr had 95 yards receiving. Powers Spencer helped University School of Jackson's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 67 yards.

Miller made the biggest impact on defense this week as Vic Shivers's team fell to Mickey Marley's team. The senior pulled down one interception.

The Bruins' Garner and Orr have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Garner has thrown for 1425 yards this season, while Orr has 46 catches for 641 yards. The Vikings' Miller leads the league in rushing yards with 771.

University School of Jackson extended the longest winning streak in Division II A - West District 2 this week by beating Fayette Academy, 34-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Bruins.
