Basketball Game Preview: Miami-Yoder Buffaloes vs. Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates

The Miami-Yoder Buffaloes will square off against the Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami-Yoder is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Miami-Yoder hadn't beaten Hanover on the road since December 17, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Buffaloes took down the Hornets 40-25.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Kiowa with a sharp 36-10 victory on Saturday.

Miami-Yoder's record now sits at 10-5. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Miami-Yoder was taken down by Genoa-Hugo/Karval 35-8 when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Can the Buffaloes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
