Basketball Recap: West Holmes Comes Up Short

West Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tuslaw Mustangs. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

West Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Tuslaw, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Holmes won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Manchester at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. West Holmes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Manchester likes a good challenge. As for Tuslaw, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Triway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Triway knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Tuslaw likes a good challenge.
