Recap: Chesterfield Golden Rams vs. Buford Yellowjackets
The Chesterfield Golden Rams had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Buford with a 44-40 victory on Friday. The victory was just what Chesterfield needed coming off of a 66-46 defeat in their prior game.
Buford's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Milhorn, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Aaron Morris, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Chesterfield's win ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-14. As for Buford, their defeat was their 11th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-18.
Chesterfield will take on Andrew Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Andrew Jackson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chesterfield in South Carolina (Andrew Jackson is ranked 38th, while Chesterfield is ranked 288th). As for Buford, they will head out on the road to square off against Cheraw at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
