Volleyball Game Preview: Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers vs. Lawrence Free State Firebirds + How To Watch

The Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers will challenge the Lawrence Free State Firebirds at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lawrence Free State took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Gardner-Edgerton, who comes in off a win.

Gardner-Edgerton not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Shawnee Mission East with a sharp 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Gardner-Edgerton's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Lawrence Free State came up short against Mill Valley on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 26-24, 27-25.

Lawrence Free State dropped their record down to 13-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Gardner-Edgerton, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.

Gardner-Edgerton couldn't quite get it done against Lawrence Free State in their previous matchup back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Trailblazers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
