Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Calvary

Calvary extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Luke Blackford. The Calvary Saints claimed a resounding 81-52 win over the Litchfield Purple Panthers thanks in part to Blackford, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Calvary's points.

Another player making a difference was Antione Hunter, who went 9 for 13 en route to 18 points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).

Calvary is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Litchfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

The future could be bright for both Calvary and Litchfield: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Calvary will look to extend Lutheran's six-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Litchfield will try to hand Hillsboro their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
