Football Game Preview: Merrimack Valley vs. Pembroke

Pembroke will square off against Merrimack Valley at 6:00 PM on Friday. Pembroke don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Pembroke's seven-game streak of losses has finally come to an end. Last Saturday, they won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Kingswood 22-21. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.

Meanwhile, Merrimack Valley have been struggling to pick up a win, with their match against Plymouth making it nine winless games in a row. Merrimack Valley were dealt a punishing 0-41 defeat at the hands of Plymouth.

Pembroke suffered a grim 12-40 defeat to Merrimack Valley the last time the two teams met. Can Pembroke avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
