The North Fort Myers Red Knights will face off against the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Charlotte will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: North Fort Myers extended their winning streak to four two weeks ago. The Red Knights put the hurt on Fort Myers with a sharp 14-4 victory. Considering the Red Knights have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Kaliyah Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Abigail Hynes was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more home runs the last three times she's played. Audrie Florenzano was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
North Fort Myers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Charlotte had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Seahawks 11-1. The Fightin' Tarpons not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 19-5).
Dava Hoffer spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nova Wharton, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Haven Hickox, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Charlotte and bumps their season record up to 12-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for North Fort Myers, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
Charlotte's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North Fort Myers has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .465. It's a different story for Charlotte, though, as they've only averaged .338. Will they be able to contain North Fort Myers' hitters?
North Fort Myers came out on top in a nail-biter against Charlotte in their previous meeting back in May of 2022, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Red Knights repeat their success, or do the Fightin' Tarpons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
