Volleyball Recap: Fort Lupton Comes Up Short

Fort Lupton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the D'Evelyn Jaguars. If the Bluedevils were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sebastian Gallegos paced Fort Lupton's offense, picking up three kills. Gallegos got some help from Aaron Encinia and his seven assists. Encinia was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Fort Lupton's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for D'Evelyn, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Fort Lupton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Denver South on the 19th. As for D'Evelyn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Rangeview on the 19th.
