Softball Recap: Burlington Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Burlington can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 14-10 win over the Winchester Red & Black. Considering the Red Devils' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Naya Baldwin was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run was her first of the season. Lexie Carmody was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Burlington's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Winchester, they dropped their record down to 7-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Burlington will square off against rival Melrose at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Winchester is set to face off against their familiar foe Woburn Memorial at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
