Baseball Recap: Dawson Comes Up Short

Dawson came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-2 to the Porter Spartans.

Dawson got a good showing from Adam Timmons, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Parker Blohm made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. He also put up a hit, which was his first of the season.

Dawson's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Porter, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Dawson will square off against Deer Park at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Porter, they will face off against Ball at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Porter's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Ball's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
