Football Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

Garfield fell victim to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Royals and fell 56-0. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Charley Levak had a dynamite game For Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy., throwing for 130 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 56 yards and one score. Levak showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 53 yards. Brayden Harris was another key player, picking up 64 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garfield will head out to take on Carrollton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Boardman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
