Basketball Game Preview: Evans Knights vs. Thomson Bulldogs + Official Tickets

Two dominant guards in Janiyah Quiller and Paris Rosser are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Evans Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Thomson Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evans is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Evans took their game with ease, bagging a 64-26 win over Chesterfield. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-11.

Charity Joyner was nothing short of spectacular: she went 7-for-15 to rack up 20 points. Those 20 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Briyahnna Jones, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Evans smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Thomson came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 50-38 victory over the Warriors. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Warriors are ranked 252nd).

Evans' record now sits at 6-1. As for Thomson, their record is now an identical 6-1.

Evans was able to grind out a solid win over Thomson in their previous meeting back in November of 2017, winning 40-31. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
