Basketball Game Preview: West Rusk Raiders vs. White Oak Roughnecks

West Rusk is 1-6 against White Oak since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The West Rusk Raiders will head out to face off against the White Oak Roughnecks at 6:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

West Rusk is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Tatum and fell 80-47. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1145th, while the Eagles are ranked 309th).

Meanwhile, White Oak came up short against Gladewater on Friday and fell 45-35. The Roughnecks have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

White Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 5-22. As for West Rusk, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

West Rusk couldn't quite finish off White Oak in their previous meeting back in January and fell 41-39. Can West Rusk avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
