Recap: Vista Ridge Rangers vs. Manor Mustangs

The Vista Ridge Rangers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a rough 64-41 loss at the hands of Manor. While losing is never fun, Vista Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 655th, while Manor is ranked 104th).

Vista Ridge's loss came despite strong showings from Bennett Eivens and Gavin Howard. Eivens scored ten points, while Howard scored seven points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eivens has scored all season.

Vista Ridge's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-18. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Manor, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vista Ridge will take on Vandegrift at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stony Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
