Basketball Game Preview: Wilmot Wolves vs. Britton-Hecla Braves

The Wilmot Wolves will challenge the Britton-Hecla Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Wilmot was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-57 to Waubay/Summit. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Britton-Hecla played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Great Plains Lutheran 49-20. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Britton-Hecla's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Wilmot, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-5.

Wilmot ended up a good deal behind Britton-Hecla in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 60-42. Can Wilmot avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
