Baseball Preview: Nicholas County Bluejackets vs. Bourbon County Colonels
Nicholas County hasn't had much luck against Bourbon County recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Nicholas County will challenge Bourbon County at 5:30 p.m. Nicholas County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Nicholas County will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Saturday, then bounced right back against Newport on Saturday. Nicholas County's pitchers stepped up to hand Newport a 13-0 shutout. The Bluejackets haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Chandler Kenney made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
