Baseball Recap: Leavenworth Comes Up Short

Leavenworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats. The PIONEERS were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Leavenworth saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Rambo, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Leavenworth's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Basehor-Linwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season.

Leavenworth will challenge Wyandotte at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Basehor-Linwood will be paying especially close attention to the PIONEERS' game: after the PIONEERS face off against the Bulldogs, they'll take on Basehor-Linwood again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
