Baseball Game Preview: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Richmond Oilers

For the second straight game, Vallejo will face off against Richmond. Vallejo will be playing at home against Richmond at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Vallejo's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Richmond has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Vallejo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Richmond get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Wednesday. The Redhawks haven't had any issues with the Oilers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

David Bernstine III was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamil Cassius, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Vallejo now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
