Volleyball Recap: Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Takes a Loss

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Saints of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Renville County West on the 4th.
