Football Recap: Thornton Comes Up Short

Thornton lost against Thornwood back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats had to suffer through a 34-6 loss at the hands of the Thunderbirds. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Thornwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thornton will welcome Kankakee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Kays have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Thornwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stagg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbirds will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
