Basketball Game Preview: Marble Falls Mustangs vs. Mexia Black Cats

Having just played yesterday, the Marble Falls Mustangs will jump right back in to play the Mexia Black Cats at 9:55 a.m. on Friday. Marble Falls has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Mexia will come in with three straight victories.

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Marble Falls took on Lake Belton on Thursday. The Mustangs fell 39-31 to the Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 983rd, while the Broncos are ranked 149th).

Meanwhile, Mexia earned a 66-57 win over Lake Belton on Thursday.

Marble Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Mexia, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
