Baseball Recap: Midd-West Takes a Loss

Midd-West lost against Danville on April 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Ironmen by a score of 8-7.

Midd-West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. Smith is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Midd-West's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Danville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Midd-West will take on rival Milton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Danville is set to challenge their familiar foe Mount Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
