Albemarle wins going away against Louisa County

Recap: Albemarle Patriots vs. Louisa County Lions

The Albemarle Patriots won the last time they faced the Louisa County Lions, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went Albemarle's way against Louisa County as Albemarle made off with a 63-38 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-13.

Louisa County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Peyton Brady, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and Taylor Yeatts who scored 13 points. Brady is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

The victory makes it two in a row for Albemarle and bumps their season record up to 7-8. As for Louisa County, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albemarle will take on Goochland at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Goochland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Albemarle is ranked 155th). As for Louisa County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fluvanna County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fluvanna County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
