Recap: Rossville Bulldogs vs. Wabaunsee Chargers

The Rossville Bulldogs stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Wabaunsee with a sharp 72-52 victory. Given Rossville's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Wabaunsee is ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rossville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Donovan out in front who scored 14 points along with seven assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Cameron Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Rossville pushed their record up to 10-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Wabaunsee, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Rossville and Osage City will face off on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Rossville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Wabaunsee, they will play host again and welcome Silver Lake, where tip off is scheduled for TBD on Monday. One thing working in Silver Lake's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
