Soccer Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale lost against Gulf Coast back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Riverdale Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gulf Coast Sharks. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 341st, while the Sharks are ranked 167th).

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-3. As for Gulf Coast, they now have a winning record of 8-7-2.

Riverdale will be playing in front of their home fans against East Lee County at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Gulf Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
