Colleton County won the last time they faced Hilton Head Island and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cougars walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Seahawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Colleton County got a massive performance out of Demitria Jones, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Jones a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Xiomara Oxner, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Colleton County's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Hilton Head Island, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Colleton County and Hilton Head Island will both be playing May River the next time they take the field. The Cougars will host the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Seahawks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
