Basketball Recap: Adamsville Takes a Loss

Adamsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jackson Central Merry Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Cougars are ranked 145th).

Adamsville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Jackson Central Merry, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adamsville will square off against Liberty Tech Magnet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson Central Merry, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Jackson Central Merry's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
