Cooper City scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the South Plantation Paladins by a score of 18-17. The Cowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Juliana Marrero led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was Marina Recht, who scored four runs while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.

Cooper City's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-15. As for South Plantation, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Cooper City will host Pompano Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Plantation, they will challenge American Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Paladins surely won't give up without a fight.
