Soccer Game Preview: A.C. Reynolds vs. Asheville

The A.C. Reynolds Rockets are taking a road trip to take on the Asheville Cougars at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, everything went A.C. Reynolds' way against Enka as A.C. Reynolds made off with a 4-1 victory. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Enka with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Julianna Gonzalez (2), Katelynn Ciolek, and Rell Bound.

Meanwhile, Asheville entered their tilt with Erwin on Wednesday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. Their defense stepped up to hand the Warriors a 9-0 shutout. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Warriors are ranked 321st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Asheville pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three contests. As for A.C. Reynolds, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1-1.
